Option Unveils iCON 225 Wireless USB Modem

Wireless technology company Option NV has unveiled it’s smallest ever HSDPA USB wireless modem at the Mobile Asia Congress in Macau, China. The iCON 225 measures just 63 x 26 x 13 mm and weighs only 40g. Offering data transfer rates of up to 7.2 Mbps, the device can download an mp3 music file in five seconds or a YouTube video in a minute.

HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) is the world’s most commonly used 3G network technology. The iCON 225 utilises quad-band EDGE, GPRS and GSM data connectivity, and 2100 MHz HSDPA/UMTS, allowing users to access the internet anywhere in the world.
