This is quite possibly the best gadget of this list. It allows you to copy your old VHS tapes directly to DVD. You can record to your harddrive, or bypass it and burn directly to DVD or CD. Just hook up the DVD Xpress to your computers USB port, plug the cords from your camcorder or video player in to the device and your ready to go. Requires a Pentium III processor and Windows 2000 or later.

If you don’t know what Skype is, it’s a service that allows you to call anyone in the world, via your computer…for free! Yup, you don’t have to spend a cent! Of course, one of the drawbacks is your stuck at your computer for the entire conversation. With the Skype Cordless Phone however your free to move about your home while talking to your friend on the other side of the world. All you need is Windows XP or later as your operating system and a USB port to plug the phone station in to. The phone even has a color LCD screen that displays your Skype contact list.

If your a gamer you’ll be able to identify with the frustration of keys not always being where you’d like them for ease of use.
